Rocking from Gateshead, the southern shore of river Tyne, just opposite to Newcastle, By The River Brew Co. is an independent container community focusing on super limited fresh beers almost solely served at their taproom, the local Hawker Market and rarely at certain UK bars. Imagine how happy we feel that they made an exception and accepted our invitation. ? And beer is not their only cup of tea, as their concept also consists of a Custom Build Bike Shop, an Open Fire Kitchen and a Coffee House & Covert Cocktail Bar.

Switching more towards a personal aspect on this – Tibor here by the way -, we’ve always tried involving long term personal friends into our story, and at this time I’m super proud having Stephen “Geordie Steve” Allerston finally visiting Budapest with his world-class creations. One of the true unsung heroes of the brewing world, before joining By The River, Stephen spent his time in leading roles at Beavertown, Kompaan and previously at BrewDog and I am lucky having spent nearly a year there working together. He is one of the most humble workhorses, natural born brewers and craziest minds out there I know, also a friend who has always encouraged me even regarding my craziest recipes: I simply wouldn’t be able to sum up in one page how much I’ve learned from him too about technology, beer culture and life in general so I won’t even try.
