In the days leading up to the festival, Budapest gets full of beer and events, and of course the week will end with an encore day on September 11. We are very excited to announce that starting from this year our regular professional days will evolve to the next level and run under the name BPBW EXPO & Conference. BPBW Expo is an annual conference and trade show representing the craft beer industry covering all areas of it from raw materials to serving with seminars by industry leader companies and individuals both from Hungary and beyond our borders. This year’s BPBW EXPO & Conference will be held on Thursday September 8 2022 in Budapest.
The BPBW EXPO is always held one day before our main Tasting Sessions and we invite:
- all the participating local and international brewers and brewery ambassadors
- other local and regional brewers, brewery owners and managing directors
- local and regional companies, distributors, enterprises covering areas of beer trade and equipment production
- craft bar and shop owners, managers and ambassadors
- European festival and event organizers
- special partners, sponsors and their ambassadors
The official language of the seminars is English.

On September 9-10, Budapest will once again become the epicenter of European craft beer, the brewers will personally come to the city we know and love the most, to pour their beers at the renewed Dürer Kert (make sure to check the map as the venue has moved from the previous address, so the tasting sessions and the encore day are all located at Budapest, Öböl utca 1, 1117), on the banks of the Danube, among rock’n’roll and metal bands. In the days leading up to the festival, Budapest gets full of beer and events, and of course the week will end with an encore day on September 11. The organizers are expecting 3,000 people for the largest craft beer event in the region, the last tickets are available at https://bpbw.hu/tickets/

Tasting sessions are a hours long tasting session (from 2pm to 8pm) with unlimited beer tasting included in the ticket price on the 9th September 2022.
The concept for both Friday and Saturday tasting sessions is like 2(+2) taps for all breweries, and 1 keg of 1 beer per session. When a keg is done, the beer is gone for that session. Breweries are allowed to do a beer change at halftime of the session (so at 5pm).
This means you can taste up to 4 beers from a brewery per session, and we will have completely different beer list on Friday and Saturday.

On Sunday, the 11th September 2022 an Encore session will take place at Dürer Kert, the same location as the tasting sessions.
The conterts and musical acts on this day are free to attend!
If you’d like to have some beers too, you must purchase a BPBW branded glass (if you do not have one already from the tatsing sessions) and tokens, which can be exchanged for beers at the BPBW stand only. The cheapest way to purchase one “onboarding package” is to click the link above, and purchase it online in advance. However there will be glasses and tokens available at the doors as well, and you can buy there extra tokens too if you run out.
Please note, that the encore session is no more an all you can taste session, you must purchase tokens to drink some beers. Unlike at the tasting sessions, here we do not guarantee all breweries to represent themselves in person, neither that all the beers from the tasting sessions’ list will be available to taste, but we will make sure that you can taste very interesting beers during this session too.
