For one week Budapest is once again the centre of international craft beer! BPBW Budapest Beer Week 2023 will take place from 22 to 28 May. From Monday to Thursday, our beloved city is full of beer related events and the professional expo, with the main tasting days on 26 and 27 May at Dürer Kert, and the free-to-attend and token based encore day on Sunday 28 May at the same venue.
Brewers arriving by person to the city, we’re filling the venue with food trucks, and after the tasting sessions, the event will continue with punk-rnr-metal concerts on two stages during the afterparty, meaning that Budapest Beer Week guests will get two for the price of one festival. BPBW happens again in May 2023!

Tasting sessions are a hours long tasting session (from 2pm to 8pm) with unlimited beer tasting included in the ticket price on the 26^th May 2023.
The concept for both Friday and Saturday tasting sessions is like 2(+2) taps for all breweries, and 1 keg of 1 beer per session. When a keg is done, the beer is gone for that session. Breweries are allowed to do a beer change at halftime of the session (so at 5pm).
This means you can taste up to 4 beers from a brewery per session, and we will have completely different beer list on Friday and Saturday.

The core events will obviously be followed by huge afterparties including the wildest bands and performers from Hungary’s diverse music scene.
Pure rock’n’roll, live shows, DJs, and local craft beer from 8pm at the same location as the tasting sessions – Dürer Kert, one of the best live music venues in Budapest, located on Buda side right next to the shores of the river Danube.

On Sunday, the 28^th May 2023 an Encore session will take place at Dürer Kert, the same location as for the tasting sessions.

The concerts and musical acts on this day are free to attend!

If you’d like to have some beers too, you must purchase a BPBW branded glass (if you do not have one already from the tatsing sessions) and tokens, which can be exchanged for beers at the BPBW stand only. The cheapest way to purchase one “onboarding package” is to click the link above, and purchase it online in advance. However there will be glasses and tokens available at the doors as well, and you can buy there extra tokens too if you run out.

Please note, that the encore session is no more an all you can taste session, you must purchase tokens to drink some beers. Unlike at the tasting sessions, here we do not guarantee all breweries to represent themselves in person, neither that all the beers from the tasting sessions’ list will be available to taste, but we will make sure that you can taste very interesting beers during this session too.
